Leonora Carrington (1917-2011)

Green Tea, or La Dame Ovale (1942). Oh, timing. Leonora Carrington died on 25 May 2011.

I am a frequent reader of your blog and think it is brilliant, I just thought I'd let you know as you don't seem to get many comments.

Simon In The Desert is on my film list and am now going to spend the day reading about Leonora Carrington rather than perform the menial administrative tasks expected of me.

I hope you don't think I'm a spambot, I comment therefore I am (never going to be promoted)

Dear DrBendy,

Thanks for your comment: the blog is essentially a place for me to store things that interest me, and so I don't mind (a bit solipsistic, I know) not getting much feedback. But when people do comment it's good to hear from them

Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy Simon of the Desert: I don't know if it's difficult to find where you are; I had the devil of a time finding a copy when I lived in England. Easier now in Spain.

James.

I think I can get it on Amazon for about ten pounds, which is good. It is a VHS but that's the only format I buy as I enjoy getting little gems from the charity shops. Sad I know.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing more Favourite Sentences and the like.
